Throughout the course of eight weeks, we will gather for a total of 16 hours, with each session generally lasting 1.5 hours. This timeframe allows plenty of opportunity for participants to pose any specific questions or concerns. Puppy Training 

At our dog training program, we cultivate a positive learning attitude with your puppy, resulting in a friendly and well-behaved adult dog over time. Our Montreal puppy training classes last approximately 1.5 hours, with a question-and-answer segment included. In a welcoming and encouraging environment, we guide you through each step with clear and straightforward explanations and demonstrations.

BASICS 

We believe that obedience training is an essential step in creating a happy and healthy relationship between you and your furry friend. That's why our basic training course is designed to help you establish a clear and positive communication channel with your dog, and to give you the tools and techniques necessary to assert your authority without resorting to harsh or harmful methods.

Your dog learns to:

  • Respond to the first "come" command, even when distracted.

  • Greet guests politely by sitting.

  • Maintain focus and follow commands such as sit and stay, even in distracting environments.

  • Avoid jumping on people when excited.

  • Walk calmly on a leash without pulling or tugging.

  • Lie down and remain in that position, even when distracted.

  • Play energetically and settle down on command.

  • Advanced leash training for more challenging walking situations.

  • Extended sit and down stays with increasing levels of difficulty.

  • Voice command training to listen to you without the need for a leash.

  • Retrieval training to develop its natural instincts.

  • Further reinforcement of recall skills for added safety and reliability.

WHO'S A GOOD DOG? 

Congratulations on mastering the basics with your furry friend! In the next stage of the course, we will further challenge their listening skills in the fundamentals of walking on lead, staying and coming when called, while also offering complete off-leash control in the face of any distractions.

Your dog will have the opportunity to::

  • Develop more advanced control in their retrieval.

  • Learn and respond to simple hand signals.

  • Respond to sit and down commands from a distance and without visual cues.

  • Build more complex skills.

  • Fine-tune their mastery of the basics.
