SERVICES // Basic Obedience

Obedience is the first step to enjoying the well trained dog, never having to worry if your pup or dog will stay or run off. Protesting a command could very well result in your pup becoming a threat or just plain annoying to the master or a guest. Nobody wants to be embarrased by owning an unruly dog.

Basic Training is done on leash to get the dog familiar with the commands up close. Remember, we all have to crawl before we can walk and walk before we can run. Before you let your fleet-footed K9 friend off leash, the desired result of Basic Obedience, is to obey on command.

We start with the Heel command to get your pup to stay by your side when walking with you, never pulling ahead.

We next train your dog to Stay, whether sitting or laying down, to not move until you give the proper command to proceeed. This can prevent accidents from happening.

Another command we teach is the Recall. This is an exercise to begin to train your dog to return to you on command, preparing you and your dog for when they are off leash and are required to respond to a verbal only command.
